In thinking about my semester abroad (Spring of 2013) I am reminded of friends, my host family, fiestas, and food. My european adventures were the ideal avenue for trying new foods and indulging in the flavors of each culture I encountered.
Vegetarianism: an honest and easy DIY, is the theme of my blog. I will be creating some classic vegetarian dishes, meat substitute dishes, and home made versions of vegetarian products. My goal for this project is to look to other websites that claim creating certain dishes is easy and test those claims. My hope is that I can combine my love of healthy eating, vegetarianism, and honesty will allow for my readers to see if vegetarianism is truly for them. Also, I will try to create the foods that I buy in store from the comfort of my own home. I will challenge myself to try my hand at making foods such as: almond milk, a breakfast bar, veggie burger, falafel, baked artichokes, and a summer veggie recipe that my Aunt Connie makes that could turn anyone vegetarian. This blog includes recipes, restaurant reviews, creative writing pieces, anecdotes, and photos.
